Freebies may be free but that doesn't mean you can skim Uncle Sam because Uncle Sam still wants to be paid regardless. If you receive over $600 from any given network in one calendar year, you are required to fill out a W-9 form which can be found from the IRS website. Networks will not send you anymore gifts if you have passed the $600 threshold and have not submitted your W-9 form. So keep track of your earnings and submit the appropriate forms.

There are 2 main types of freebies in the freebie world. Incentive and Get Paid To aka GPT for short. Within each types there are 2 forms of method, referral or do it yourself. You should participate in the one that best fit for you because if you don't then you're basically not going to get very far or earn much money.

- Low cost to you and less work

Do It Yourself:
- Do not want to find referrals
- Prefer doing offers yourself
- No need to advertise to anyone

- Find referrals to gain bonus pay
- Ability to win items that referrals win

Do It Yourself:
- Get paid to search, click, post
- Earnings depends on you
