Self Promotion Offline Tip #9

It is important that you do not cancel an offer just after signing up because it may be considered as committing fraud so please try to choose offers that really interest you and give them a fair trial. If you are not satisfied completely then you may go ahead and cancel your trial offer. Remember, if you do an offer with intent to cancel then it is fraud and a company can usually tell if you cancel too quickly without trying their service or even receiving their product. A trial period on anything means that you actually have to try the service or product.

#9. Contact your local area Welcome Wagon or Welcome to the Neighborhood Group! Ask them about you leaving mini catalogs, fliers, business cards, discount coupons, freebie mini gifts, etc with them.

They are always looking for additional items to place in their Welcome Bags!

Self Promotion Offline Tip #4

Most do not know that in order to successfully receive credit for doing an offer, you should always clear your cookies before you log into a freebie site. It is an absolute must otherwise you will most likely not receive credit for completing an offer. So before you log into a new site, be sure to clear your cookies first. Offers are tracked by cookies so if you are not allowing cookies to be sent then you will most likely not going to receive credit either. So be sure to read the rules on how an offer credits to understand why this is important!

#4. Contact local area bridal supply stores, bridal gown stores, caterers, tux rental centers, wedding dj's etc. Ask them if you can leave your business cards & fliers about the great (Company Name) Bridal Gift Registry for them to give to their customers.

Offer store owners a free gift or a personal discount for helping you spread the word about your business.

Promote Yourself Offline Tip #1

Earning referrals may not be as hard or tough as you think because there are so many ways to obtain referrals but most people just don't think of it. In your everyday life, you have many possibilities to promote yourself without any extra effort that you didn't ever think about. Over the series of posts, I will be posting tips in order for you to realize more ways to obtain referrals so that you can earn yourself some free prizes without realizing it.

#1. Take a small zip close baggie (snack sizes work well) and include the following in it:

Your Business Card, Business Opptortunity Mini Flyer, a Piece of Candy such as hard candy or a lollipop, mini flyer of current host specials, discount coupon (optional) etc.

Hand these out to the bank tellers, retail cashiers, at your kids sport events, every where you go!

But remember, if you don't like obtaining referrals and want to earn free stuff on your own then there are Do It Yourself sites where you can complete offers on your own and earn free stuff without having to refer anyone.

Prepaid Credit Cards Are Not Allowed

In its earlier days, before all of the fraud occurrences, users were allowed to use prepaid credit cards to complete offers which was good for those that did not trust advertisers or incentive sites. Although incentive sites have no access to the information that you give to advertisers while completing their offers. Some users were using prepaid credit cards for safety while others were using prepaid credit cards to commit fraud and scam others. Due to the high number of fraud among prepaid credit card users, advertisers decided to not credit users that use prepaid credit cards to complete their offers so if you want to obtain your credit then you are now stuck with using a real credit card only. Although some advertisers may allow you to use Paypal but other than that, you have no other option anymore. This is a good reason why you should not commit fraud on freebie sites because you will ruin things for everyone including yourself because falsifying information may cause you not to receive your free gift!

Get Credit

One of the many reason people think that freebie sites are a scam is because they do not receive credit for the offer that they complete. However, one of the many reasons why they do not receive credit is because they did not follow the right precautions. So here is a few tips you should follow if you wish to receive credit without any errors.

Get credit for your offers!

Here are tips on how to ensure yourself that you receive credit for offers you complete on any site. There are specific reasons why users don't receive credit so don't be one of them.

1: Before logging into any site, ALWAYS clear your cookies. This is the MAIN problem regarding not getting credit.

2: ALWAYS use Internet Explorer or Firefox. Other browsers have known issues with crediting.

3: ALWAYS make sure your cookies are on the lowest setting to accept them all.

4: DISABLE ANY antivirus, spyware, firewalls, or ad checking software. What a lot of people don't realize is any of these programs can either interfere with the cookies that make an offer track or they can block offer tracking in other ways.

If you do follow these tips and still do not receive credit in the mentioned timeframe then you can submit a support ticket to the site known as Manual Credit Report or MCR for short. In order to submit a MCR, you must provide a copy of the confirmation email that was sent to you when you completed the offer. It also doesn't hurt to take a screenshot of the confirmation screen either because sometimes you will not receive a confirmation email. The more supporting evidence that you can provide the better.

Cash Site vs Referral Site

There is another difference between what is called a cash site and a referral site that most people would not know about. Yes, obviously one has something to do with cash whereas the other has to do something with referrals. One thing that you may not be aware of has to do with the list of offers you can choose from. Some companies will not allow incentive sites to place their offers on a cash site so in a sense, cash sites have limited offers. The reason for this is because advertisers are protecting themselves against potential fraud among users. Sites offering cash rather than gifts are more likely to be hit with fraud because it takes less time to send cash than an item which allows companies less time to catch fraud. When it comes to catching fraud, time is of the essence. Fraud may not always be caught at first because it depends on when the fraud triggers alarms. Fraud is a major killer of most incentive sites which really ruins things for everybody including you, the one committing fraud. It is illegal and you may be prosecuted.

The Online GPT Market

There are so many ways to make money online that it is insane! You have your usual GPT incentive sites with your usual trial offers. You also have your choice of doing online surveys for money. Next comes writing online articles and even blogging for money. There is even forums where you can earn money from posting on their forums where the usual pay rate is between 3 to 9 cents a post but if you are a active online forum poster then your online hobby can earn you a large chunk of change. I will list some legit pay forums in a later blog. The new online market has grown so much that now people are actually renting other people's forum signature's space for a fee! I always knew about link swapping and banners but this is the first time that I have heard of buying someone's signature. It just goes to shows you that you can pretty much sell anything to advertise on.

Absolutely Free Offers

Most offers that are worth doing do require that you be 18 or older and have access to a credit card. However, there are offers out there that do not require the use of a credit card also known as non CC offers. The only downside is that you would most likely have to do a few non CC for it to be equivalent of one CC offer. For instance, there can be an offer that would credit you 1 full credit for completing that one offer whereas you might run into non CC offers that would only credit you 1/4 credit. So in order to obtain one full credit and moving one step closer to obtaining your free gift, you would have to complete a total of 4 non CC offers for that one full credit. Non CC offers usually asks you to sign up for a sweepstakes, complete a survey, or sign up for a site. They're fast and easy and won't cost you a penny. The choice is yours but remember you have to input real information otherwise you would be committing fraud and you accounts will be put on hold.

Beware of Shady Offers

For those that are considering doing a number of sites or even swapping sites, you should be cautious of which offers you sign up for. Some offers have certain clauses located in their terms of service in which most people would overlook and not bother reading. Networks like Pacific Web Works have a clause where you can only do one of their offers so if you choose to do one then you cannot do any other to receive credit for it. You can complain that you did not receive credit but there's nothing you can do because it's in the terms that you are only allowed to do one offer from them. Other offers may have the clause where you sign up for a trial product but would charge you extra fees or even restocking fees so watch out for those offers as well. Your best resources for offers ratings and reviews would be from the list of forums that I have listed in my previous posts. You can find a link to those sites in my links menu as well. Of course the best offers are the free offers or the cheap offers where you do not have to ship anything back if you decide to cancel. Read any reviews, before you do any offers.
