Get Credit

One of the many reason people think that freebie sites are a scam is because they do not receive credit for the offer that they complete. However, one of the many reasons why they do not receive credit is because they did not follow the right precautions. So here is a few tips you should follow if you wish to receive credit without any errors.

Get credit for your offers!

Here are tips on how to ensure yourself that you receive credit for offers you complete on any site. There are specific reasons why users don't receive credit so don't be one of them.

1: Before logging into any site, ALWAYS clear your cookies. This is the MAIN problem regarding not getting credit.

2: ALWAYS use Internet Explorer or Firefox. Other browsers have known issues with crediting.

3: ALWAYS make sure your cookies are on the lowest setting to accept them all.

4: DISABLE ANY antivirus, spyware, firewalls, or ad checking software. What a lot of people don't realize is any of these programs can either interfere with the cookies that make an offer track or they can block offer tracking in other ways.

If you do follow these tips and still do not receive credit in the mentioned timeframe then you can submit a support ticket to the site known as Manual Credit Report or MCR for short. In order to submit a MCR, you must provide a copy of the confirmation email that was sent to you when you completed the offer. It also doesn't hurt to take a screenshot of the confirmation screen either because sometimes you will not receive a confirmation email. The more supporting evidence that you can provide the better.

Step By Step

For those that are still confused on how the whole freebie process works, it is very simple and could not be anymore simpler. So here is a step by step guide for you to follow although there may be more or less to it depending on which network you choose but this is the basic gist of it.

How do I get my FREE gift?

Step 1. Sign up.

Step 2. Complete an offer.

Step 3. Refer others.

Step 4. Get your free gift.

Do You Digg It?

Recently I have noticed a new way of cashing in on the new wave of online social networking programs out there. I have always known that a way to drive traffic to your own site was to use sites like Digg to well Digg sites and make comments. Lately I have heard that there are people and sites out there that will actually pay you money to Digg sites in which I assume as a an attempt to stir traffic to the target site. Or it could be like other sites that will pay you just to go Digg happy much like sites that will pay you to upload just about anything. It just goes to show you, if you can think it then you can sell it.

E-Processors

There are many e-processors out there you can choose from when it comes to handling your money online. You have your main stream Paypal, which is highly used among consumers and e-merchants. You then have your less main stream choices like e-gold, Liberty Reserve, etc. With so many to choose from which one should you choose to use? Some would say don't go to Paypal because it's so mainstream which makes you a target for hackers but at the same time choosing a non universal one would make it hard to buy products from e-merchants because they would most likely only accept Paypal out of all other e-processors. Paypal may be very popular but at least you can have the sense of security that the company itself would be around for years to come. Altergold, a less mainstream e-processor turned out to be nothing but a scam and thus alot of users have lost their funds because they can't withdraw their money since the company ran off with their funds. Before you pick a company, do your research.

Cash Site vs Referral Site

There is another difference between what is called a cash site and a referral site that most people would not know about. Yes, obviously one has something to do with cash whereas the other has to do something with referrals. One thing that you may not be aware of has to do with the list of offers you can choose from. Some companies will not allow incentive sites to place their offers on a cash site so in a sense, cash sites have limited offers. The reason for this is because advertisers are protecting themselves against potential fraud among users. Sites offering cash rather than gifts are more likely to be hit with fraud because it takes less time to send cash than an item which allows companies less time to catch fraud. When it comes to catching fraud, time is of the essence. Fraud may not always be caught at first because it depends on when the fraud triggers alarms. Fraud is a major killer of most incentive sites which really ruins things for everybody including you, the one committing fraud. It is illegal and you may be prosecuted.

FreebieGossip here, just wanted to wish you all a very pleasant Christmas whether or not your gifts are a freebie or not. Just remember that Santa has something for every one of you whether you've been good or bad. Check Or Paypal?

Most incentive sites offers you two choices when it comes to receiving your cash. You can either choose by check or by Paypal. The difference would be the time it takes to arrive and obviously by check would take longer. However, there are perks to choosing by check over Paypal. For instance, the only way for you to receive the full face value would be if your Paypal is a personal account but with personal accounts you are limited on your withdraws every month. The only way to bypass that limit would be to upgrade to a Premier or a Business account but by doing so you are charged a 3% fee on all of your incoming funds. If you choose by check then there is no limit and there is no extra fees, you get the entire funds however much it may be. Sure, Paypal is quick but it still takes time to go into your bank account if you choose to deposit the Paypal balance to your bank account. By the time your funds are in your bank account, it would be only slightly longer than by choosing a check. Lastly, Paypal is highly vulnerable to attacks because it is highly used by consumers so if your Paypal is compromised then so is your credit card that is associated with your Paypal and your bank account. The choice is yours.

Santa's Staying In the US For Now

Apparently it was just an unfortunate false alarm due to the FAQ page on the SantasGiftsAllYear's DIY page stating that the DIY site was open to all countries which has not been removed from the page. As I have previously stated in an earlier post, the worldwide site was closed and now has been reborn as the DIY site but does not accept international users as of yet. The DIY site still possesses the 10% referral earnings so that's a plus. I am guessing it won't be long until the site will be back to being a worldwide site. So for now, everyone outside of the US just has to wait for Santa to come knocking.

Santa's Going Worldwide Afterall

It was announced earlier that SantasGiftsAllYear closed its international site which disappointed alot of worldwide users because there are not many freebie sites out there for international users. Most freebie sites are only open to US and Canadian residents but even Canadians are limited on most networks. So not to disappoint the world, there is now a site open for users from all countries! The international site from SantasGiftsAllYear is also known as the Do It Yourself or DIY for short meaning you do not have to refer anyone in order to receive your free money. You can do the offers yourself but there is an incentive in referring others because you will receive 10% of your referral's earnings. So, users of the world, come one and all because Santa is waiting for you!

Freebie Rivalry

There is such a thing as freebie rivalry among freebie forums and freebie networks that it is pretty insane. The stem of their rivalry goes way back and it still lives on even today. It was so long ago that my interpretation may be a little off but the forum rivalry has always been between
Anything4Free and FreeiPodGuide. ReferralSwapper wasn't really caught in the drama because they were never really focused on their forum but A4F and FiPG were the two big shot callers of the freebie forum trading world. Their users shot back and forth at each other claiming to be the best and what not. I registered on all of the forums listed and in my opinion, I think A4F is better and by comparing their activeness today, A4F wins hands down. I believe that A4F is still standing tall because they do not tolerate scammers and will ban them and their networks from the forum whereas FiPG will still support them. I will not name anyone but I do see that they are still rubbing elbows with FiPG and acting as if they never scammed anyone nor have they returned any money to those that they scammed. Another sign of rivalry can be seen at the grade level of different networks. A4F will grade sites according to user polls taken every month and by how much gifts are sent out to users whereas FiPG pretty much plays favorites. For instance, Free4Me is by all means a grade A site but FiPG will never allow Free4Me to move up to a grade A site because there is a little grudge between FiPG and Free4Me. FiPG won't allow an honest and highly praised network be a grade A site but they will allow a big time scamming network that takes not weeks but months to send out any gifts and puts any accounts on hold and have plenty of users filing complaints to Better Business Bureau and wanting to sue the network known as FreePay. No wonder there would be some rivalry eh?

Rules of Investing

There are many ways to make money online but which ones are more worth it and which ones should you invest your time and money in? Some requires you to invest a huge chunk of money in order to make a big return while others do not require a large sum of money. My general rule is never ever invest anything over $100 because if you are required to put in more than that then the risk is much larger. People will tell you that they made alot of money off from investing in these different programs but they will also be the ones crying over the loss of all of their money. The best returns are the ones where you don't have to put in much to start. The best things comes free.

Make Money Online Passively

Contrary to the belief, you can make money online without have to do much work. For instance, you can join in on GPT sites and either click away aimlessly for hours, days, weeks, and months to only make a few dollars. Or you can get paid to post on forums or do surveys for some chump change. It's alot of work that you have to keep at constantly but there's another way to make money without having to go through all the work on a daily basis. You can join sites like Associated Content and write articles for either payment or bonus view pay. Not only will you be paid for your articles if they are accepted but even if they're not accepted for pay you can earn money from view bonuses. The more views you get, the bigger the bonus every month. The page views comes easily so you don't have to do much promoting because the readers will all come on their own. You can write a few articles and just leave it and never have to write another article because you will still collect your bonuses every month. You do however have to sign into your account every 90 days to keep your account still active. Check it out and see if you like it.

The Online GPT Market

There are so many ways to make money online that it is insane! You have your usual GPT incentive sites with your usual trial offers. You also have your choice of doing online surveys for money. Next comes writing online articles and even blogging for money. There is even forums where you can earn money from posting on their forums where the usual pay rate is between 3 to 9 cents a post but if you are a active online forum poster then your online hobby can earn you a large chunk of change. I will list some legit pay forums in a later blog. The new online market has grown so much that now people are actually renting other people's forum signature's space for a fee! I always knew about link swapping and banners but this is the first time that I have heard of buying someone's signature. It just goes to shows you that you can pretty much sell anything to advertise on.

Custom Gifts

As you may know, there are a ton of incentive sites out there and each catering to a certain genre of gifts and not all sites and networks are repeatable. With sites and networks where you can only do each of their sites once, what happens when you want to do a certain site but do not like the gift that is being offered? One word, custom. Most sites have the option of allowing you to choose your own custom gift if you do not like the gift options. For instance, let's say you signed up for YourPS34Free from Trainn but do not want any of the PS3 options but you want your free gift. You should open a support ticket requesting a custom gift of the same value. So let's say your earned PS3 gift was about $500 so you could option for an iPhone instead. So don't think that if you sign up for a certain prized site that you are stuck with limited options.

Referral Bonuses

There are a few incentive sites where obtaining referrals will benefit you in more than one way. The typical sites will only put you one step closer to obtaining your free gift. However, there are a few networks out there that will give you another added incentive in obtaining referrals. Not only will you be one step closer to your free gift but also you will earn 10% off from your referrals! So imagine this, you're cashing out $100 and in order to obtain your $100 you need 2 referrals and they also want $100. When they cash out on their $100, you will not only get your $100 as well but also an extra $20 on top and so on and so on. It's extra money in your pocket without all of the extra work. It sounds great to me but of course the choice is up to you.

Have No Fear, V-Bux Is Here!

There was a brief scare surrounding V-Bux over concerns that V-Bux was slowing down so users were going crazy and thinking of the worst. Apparently it was just a waste of energy because V-Bux came back with a rapid fire of payments and prizes. The slow down was mainly due to their affiliates not paying them on time or holding off on payments for credits which caused V-Bux to hold off on paying their users as well. It's a pretty common hiccup for most sites but as long as users are being legit then there's nothing to worry about. Take it from all the happy V-Bux users that just got paid!

Alpha Omega Oh Mama!

It has come to my attention that a long time incentive site will be closing its doors officially on December 15th,2008. It has been around for years but unfortunately it has been forced to shut down. The owner, Benjette has not released as to why she is shutting the site down but for most sites, it is mainly due to scammers and users committing fraud and of course personal reasons. Fraud really ruins the freebie market because fraud may not always be caught at first so some scammers are able to cash out before it happens and when the affiliates notice the fraud that went on the affiliates would ultimately revoke the credit that was given and thus refuse to pay the site owners which ends up as a double whammy loss to the site owners. You may think that you're only really screwing the site owners over but really you're screwing everyone over including yourself because you will be marked and banned as a scammer and some networks will go and prosecute you for committing a crime. Anyways, back to Benjette, her site AnyGift4Free has settled as a grade B site and have given out a number of freebies. I have completed a few AnyGift4Free sites myself so I am sad to see it go. Thank you Benjette and AnyGift4Free for everything you have done!

In spite of it all, another incentive site has announced its revamp in motion. Peter of Free4Me has announced that Free4Me will receive a whole new face lift and will be moving to a whole new system. I wonder what this new system has in stored for us all! It has been announced that all pending referral credits have to hurry up and obtain their credit because only credits will transfer over to the new systems. You will keep your greens and your referrals so don't worry! As long as they receive credit that is. So hurry up and get those referrals to green!

Absolutely Free Offers

Most offers that are worth doing do require that you be 18 or older and have access to a credit card. However, there are offers out there that do not require the use of a credit card also known as non CC offers. The only downside is that you would most likely have to do a few non CC for it to be equivalent of one CC offer. For instance, there can be an offer that would credit you 1 full credit for completing that one offer whereas you might run into non CC offers that would only credit you 1/4 credit. So in order to obtain one full credit and moving one step closer to obtaining your free gift, you would have to complete a total of 4 non CC offers for that one full credit. Non CC offers usually asks you to sign up for a sweepstakes, complete a survey, or sign up for a site. They're fast and easy and won't cost you a penny. The choice is yours but remember you have to input real information otherwise you would be committing fraud and you accounts will be put on hold.

Santa's Not Going Worldwide

It has come to my attention that SantasGiftsAllYear.com will no longer be available to international users as its international site has been pulled. The reason for the shut down of the international site was due to potential fraud because it is harder to fight against fraud overseas since being in the US we can easily verify the existence of a user's information. Don't fret at the shut down of the international site because all international users have been paid in full for their credits and referrals. So all is well and Santa's going to be giving out free greens for everyone that signs up for any of Santa's sites as long as you are not being referred under anyone. Free greens means that you would not have to do an offer yourself so all you have to do next is to refer others to sign under you and do offers and your free gift will soon be yours. Hurry and get your free greens for the month of December because an awesome promotion like this won't last forever and also be included in the sweepstakes.

Beware of Shady Offers

For those that are considering doing a number of sites or even swapping sites, you should be cautious of which offers you sign up for. Some offers have certain clauses located in their terms of service in which most people would overlook and not bother reading. Networks like Pacific Web Works have a clause where you can only do one of their offers so if you choose to do one then you cannot do any other to receive credit for it. You can complain that you did not receive credit but there's nothing you can do because it's in the terms that you are only allowed to do one offer from them. Other offers may have the clause where you sign up for a trial product but would charge you extra fees or even restocking fees so watch out for those offers as well. Your best resources for offers ratings and reviews would be from the list of forums that I have listed in my previous posts. You can find a link to those sites in my links menu as well. Of course the best offers are the free offers or the cheap offers where you do not have to ship anything back if you decide to cancel. Read any reviews, before you do any offers.

Battle of the Network Owners

What do you look for in a network? Best customer support? Best gifts selection? Best referral/cash ratio? Best selection of offers? Sure, all are important but the most important factor in selecting a freebie site is the site owner's involvement. A site should not be run solely by its managers while the owner racks up all the cash. The site owner should do plenty and I do mean plenty of PR and be involved in every aspect of the business. Peter from Free4Me and Alan from Trainn are one of the best site owners out there. They are very involved and do not rely sole on their managers to handle all of their customer support. You can easily contact them if you wanted to and it wouldn't take you days of waiting either. They're there and they're answering your concerns.

Sell Or Recycle Your Old Electronics

Even with all of my freebies, as time goes on, they become obsolete so you should sell before they devalue too much. I have two choices, either sell them or recycle them. You should never throw away any electronics even if they're broken because there are some places that will buy your broken iPod, games, computers, cameras, you name it. You should always compare different companies because you might receive more money from one site than another. These places will buy your broken or functional electronics and will either give it a new life or recycle it. It keeps everyone happy. So far, I like Gazelle the best because they will pay for your shipping by sending you a shipping label via email so all you have to do is pack it and ship it and wait for your money. This is a good way to recycle and resell your old freebie items.

Gazelle My favorite site so far, free shipping and it's easy and fast to do.

MyBoneYard Free shipping as well but haven't branched out to buy digital cams and other electronics.

Venjuvo Free shipping but doesn't buy older model electronics.

BuyMyTronics Reimburse shipping costs and haven't branched out to buy other electronics.

Freebie Gossip

When it comes to doing freebies there will be certain terminology you may not pick up whether you are doing it yourself or trading with others. Today, I will go over the most common acronyms and terms that are commonly used. Some are pretty easy to guess while others may not be as easy.

Green: The term green or going green is used when you or your referrals have signed up and completed an offer and has received credit for the offer. Their sign up status will show as green and you are one step closer to receiving your free gift.

Grey: The term grey is when your referral or yourself have not completed an offer.

Offer: Advertisers pay the freebie site a referral commission when you sign up for the advertiser's product whether it be a trial or not which are called an offer.

GPT: Get Paid To are incentive sites where you are paid to do things yourself rather than referring others under your line. It could be by search, clicks, forum posting, doing offers, and so on. It's the do it yourself of the freebie world.

MCR: Manual credit report is a support ticket that you submit when you do not receive credit for the offer that you or your referral did. Usually you will send a MCR after 2 weeks of not receiving credit. It is important to keep your introductory emails as proof that you did do the said offer.

Approval: Approval is the stage where the site will review your account to make sure there is no fraud among you or your referrals in terms of personal information and offers. If you pass approval then you can order your free gift.

TR: TR is short for trade record. After a successful trade with another trader you are both rewarded with a TR point to show how many successful trades you have accomplished.

Freebie Trading Precautions

So now that you have decided on which forum you want to sign up for, we will venture onward to steps of trading. Being new in the freebie world would make you feel very anxious and make you vulnerable to scammers so listen well and listen good. Everyone loves fresh meat because you can possibly be able to sign up for their sites and they have TR advantage over you. You will receive plenty of messages from other users asking for a trade so here is what you need to know. The usual rule is the person with the lower TR which would be you, will go first. You will be asked to sign up on their site and after you complete your offer and go green they will in return sign up and go green on your site. Afterall all is said and done, you will both receive one TR point for the successful trade. However, most newbies will not experience this at first because they do not take the proper precautions.

1. Never trade with another newbie because they are likely a scammer with another fresh scam account.
2. Always check out their profile and see when their account was made and who they traded with.
3. If all of their trades are with newbies with fresh accounts then they are most likely TR boosting themselves with fake accounts.
3. Never trust anyone no matter how nice they seem because they will scam you.
4. Trade only with long time users and with a high TR of over at least 40.
5. If they seem impatient and constantly hounding you then something is fishy about them.

If you follow these guidelines then you will be okay for the most part but in the event that you are ever scammed then you can always request the site that you signed up for them to either remove your referral or to place your account on hold. Depending on the sites, some sites will actually ban the user if they are ever caught scamming or frauding others. With all of this in mind, have fun and get them freebies.

Best Freebie Forums

There are a number of freebie forums out there to choose from but in terms of the best is up to the user. Some forums will appeal to your visual tastes while others will appeal to your sense of content and so on. When it comes to using a freebie forum, you should seek out the one that best fits you especially if you are thinking about wanting to swap trades because trading is based on your trade record. Each forum has their own TR system so it would be wise to build your TR on one forum rather than on multiple forums.

Anything4Free is very user friendly and offers many features. A4F has over 44,000 users and is very active.

FreeiPodGuide is not as appealing visually as A4F but boasts a TR and a karma system.

ReferralSwapper is mainly for trades as you can see from their nearly dead forum.

FreeLunchRoom consists of mostly moms at home that loves to rant about how they got screwed or how they tried to screw sites.

These are the major players so now it's only up to you to see which one is best for you. I personally prefer A4F out of the rest for their activeness and visual appeal. Plus, they have a battle system! Along with other add ons that may or may not appeal to you. Pick your poison.

Freebie International

One of the only downfall for most freebie sites is the fact that most are for US residents only and there's only a few that allow Canadian residents. The few that do allow international users are limited to cash prizes only rather than being able to choose from iPods, various gaming systems, laptops, TVs, and so on. But even then, with the cash that you can acquire, you can buy your own goodies and cash out whenever you like as long as you meet the minimum balance which is most likely $20 USD. So it may not be all that bad afterall for international users.

Different Forms of Freebies

There are 2 main types of freebies in the freebie world. Incentive and Get Paid To aka GPT for short. Within each types there are 2 forms of method, referral or do it yourself. You should participate in the one that best fit for you because if you don't then you're basically not going to get very far or earn much money.

INCENTIVE:

Referral:
- Able to find others to sign up and do offers
- Best if participate in trade swaps or advertise in very popular websites or blogs
- Low cost to you and less work

Do It Yourself:
- Do not want to find referrals
- Prefer doing offers yourself
- No need to advertise to anyone

Get Paid To:

Referral:
- Find referrals to gain bonus pay
- Ability to win items that referrals win

Do It Yourself:
- Get paid to search, click, post
- Earnings depends on you

I never ever heard of incentive sites until 4 years ago during the incentive site boom which I guess had to do with the housing boom. A friend of mine sent me a link and told me to sign up as my friend's last referral so she can finally receive her free iPod. I had my doubts but as a friend, I did it anyways. A week later and to my surprise she received her free iPod and a free T-shirt to show off and that was when I knew incentive sites were legit. So I did a little Google and found sites that were created to help people complete their freebie sites by either swapping sites or paying others to be their referrals. It sounds crazy but that's the only real effective way to complete incentive sites because the only other ways would be if you have a site that receives a ton of hits and post your link or if you beg and beg your friends and family to sign up which is not likely going to happen anyways because people are doubtful. It's free but you do have to put work into it but most people don't so they quit and call it a scam.

There are 4 steps to completing an incentive site:

1. Sign up and complete an offer
2. Refer others to do the same
3. Once completed, pick your free gift
4. Receive your free gift

In my first year of swapping incentive sites using one of the sites that I use to swap trades, I have made over $7,000 in freebies and cash. It sounds great but be warned, there are risks so my suggestion to you would be to only do sites that are considered Grade A and trade with other traders that have a long history of being legit traders and have a high trade record. The mistake that most newbie traders do is that they become so excited that someone wants to trade with them that they would accept trades from everyone including other newbies which are most likely scammers with new accounts to scam with. So please proceed with caution.

Here's a list of sites that proves incentive sites are legit and will help you complete your own incentive site so check out their forums:

Santa to the rescue!

It was suddenly announced on Friday, November 21st that the freebie network FCA Net Inc owned by Charles Edgar would be shutting down on the same night. All users who wanting to cash out or redeem their gifts are requested to put in their requests by 11:59:59 PM. Talk about short notice. FCA's sudden closure is definately a big shock and it is very likely that over half of its users did not make the deadline so they are not going to be very happy about that. It is sad to see the network go after being achieving a grade B site status over the course of 3 1/2 years but it only proves that incentive sites are too much of a burden to be run by only one person and personal matters do not help the situation either. Goodbye FCA...and hello Santa! Out from the ashes of the financial crisis comes a whole new network ready to step up and play with the big boys. SantasGiftsAllYear.com boasts a workforce of 12 and offers a variety of gifts to choose from or even hard cold cash. Santa's here to stay all year long and he has something for everybody regardless whether you've been good or bad.

Cyber Monday Trumps Black Friday

If you're missing out on Black Friday sales because you didn't want to camp out or camped out too late then don't you worry your pretty little head too much because Cyber Monday is only a couple of days away. It sure beats wasting your days away waiting in line in the blistering cold because best of all there's no lines! You can find more savings on Cyber Monday than from Black Friday sales and you don't have to worry about being trampled to death by a mob of anxious shoppers. Bless that Walmart employee's little heart.

Do you cyber?

Thankful Freebie Network Empires

Thanksgiving is the time of year that we should be thankful for whatever reasons so I'm going to give a list of freebie networks that are should be thankful for still existing among the huge number of incentive sites nowasdays. Many networks came and many fell apart and a few continue to stand tall and worthy enough to continue to participate in.

Still on top A list sites and legit worthy:

Free4me continues on top
Trainn continues to please
123StuffForFree standing up with the big boys
V-Bux holding strong

Fall from grace sites that went from A list to not legit scam worthy:

Free4Every1 sudden fall from grace and continues to not pay out

Other grade sites that fell down a notch:

OrderCash4Free still hanging in there
OffCentric still hanging out with the scammers
GiftFiesta straight up scammers
Freepay still holds to grade D but still hold happy

That is all I have to share with you today because there are too many networks to list now so I will only name the big players. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

A Wet Black Friday

Thanksgiving will not only be wet on the west coast here but also Black Friday as well. As technology becomes cheaper in price and more available, Black Friday is like a blissful heaven for tech fanatics everywhere but the festivities aren't just for the tech lovers, it's also for shoppers of any kind because certain places will be giving out free stuff to the first crowds of people in line! Different stores offers different promotions and different Black Friday deals so check out Black Friday sites to find the one that's for you. Although with the rain, it would totally suck to be camping out in the cold rain but on the bright side, it would deter others from camping out and stealing the deals that you want. I can deal with laying on the pavement but I cannot deal with a wet pavement. The choice is yours although with the economy nowadays you will continue to find Black Friday deals even after Black Friday.
